Anthony Beck was bought up in England and immigrated to Canada in 1963 to work as a research Pharmacist. In 1969 he earned an MBA from the University of Western Ontario majoring in Marketing and International Business.
A University course study of The Behaviour of Boat Buyers and another of Hughes Boat works led to an invitation to become Marketing Manager of Hughes Marine Sales. and then founding and owning Distin Marine Ltd and Vaudreuil Marina and Yacht Club.
The surprise election of a separatist government in 1976 decimated that business.
Anthony Beck – 1978-1996 Licensed REALTOR® in Quebec
In 1978 an influential client commissioned a presentation for the sale of a shopping centre applying the MBA business approach. The system worked and the client suggested that if he became a licensed REALTOR® in Quebec, there would be many more commissions. Through the 1980’s he worked with McKinnon Realities, on commercial and recreational real estate projects in Canada and Florida. Then joining Montreal Trust, which introduced residential real estate and then moved to Re/Max, that had just opened in Canada. In the late 1980’s he became managing partner in a residential construction company building economy homes in Vaudreuil and luxury homes in Baie d’Urfé, and in 1990 he acquired a brokers license and starting Beck & Associates Ltd.
1996-2007 Real Estate Investor/Developer in Britain
Between 1996 and 2006 he returned to the UK where he and his wife Mary bought, developed and sold several residential and commercial properties and enrolled in an extensive course about international real estate investment.
Anthony Beck – 2008-Present -Licensed REALTOR® in Florida
In 2007 Anthony Beck “retired” to a “Snowbird” lifestyle, buying property in Florida. But retiring when your passion is helping folks realize their dreams is not easy. In 2008 he earned a Florida Realtor’s license since when he has been helping alien investors, mostly Canadians, purchase and manage villas. He started a property management company for the community, T.C. Reserve Resort LLC, which evolved into Mid Florida Vacations LLC, the solution for international investors seeking honest reliable care for their Florida property. His Florida license is currently parked with Park Place Realty Network.
2013-Present – Licensed REALTOR® in Ontario
As the Florida economy recovered and the Canadian economy stayed relatively strong, many Canadians started considering Florida property. It became clear that experienced and knowledgeable guidance would be beneficial and since helping is a passion and having the knowledge and experience, this winter I began the RECO Real Estate Qualification courses and became licensed to practice in Ontario. After a brief time at Sutton Future Realty Inc he transferred to Intercity Realty Inc. where he helped selling new homes from townhouses to luxury mansions. A move to Hawkesbury in 2018 resulted in a transfer to Your Choice Realty which was sold to Right at Home Realty Inc in 2019 The license is currently administered by Right at Home Realty Inc, Brokerage in Ottawa and he has an affiliate relationship with Zolo Canada.
